126: Day 016

One of a main dangers of visiting TMOG is the distance between the venue and my flat. I can’t go from my work, to my flat then to TMOG. This means I usually have to get some sort of food or dinner at the venue which isn’t healthy to say the least.

Luckily today, I discovered that Sainbury’s have little portions of cereal & milk perfect for this Kellogg’s diet. A bit expensive at 99p but still allows me to keep within the diet.

126: Day 015

(September 10th, 2007 @ 1134 - Stephen - Kellogg's Diet, Weight Loss)

Was talking to JD today and we both took a look at the Kellogg’s 2 Week Diet. Doesn’t seem that difficult, I was practically on it last year, so we have decided to give it a whirl starting tomorrow and document on our results.

All you have to do is eat one bowl (approx 45g) of Kellogg’s Special K, or other Kelloggs cereal, with semi-skimmed milk for breakfast, and then another to replace lunch or dinner - it’s that simple!

I had to even go out and buy some kitchen scales to make sure the bowl contained exactly 45g of cereal. My weapon of choice is Crunchy Nut Cornflakes and I will most likely be on the Breakfast and Dinner route.

On the diet front, Subway sandwiches seem to be the way forward, for both pocket and content. As you can see, on my first week I was using the Boot’s deal but this created several issues:

  1. The deal is three parts: A drink, a snack and a main. I never drank the drink, if anything, I would drink a sip then cast it away into the drawers of my desk.
  2. It’s expensive, the whole meal costs £2.99 and if I wasn’t drinking, that makes a very expensive salad and snack portion (usually some fruit).
  3. It has happened on occasion, but the main I wanted wasn’t supplied and I was forced to take something.

Subway is good because it’s cheap (£1.99 vs £2.99), I get what I want (simply a main, no extra parts) and more stomach-filling.
