Sufjan Stevens

(January 23rd, 2007 @ 0656 - Stephen - Life)

Its been a strange week so far. An old friend contacted me recently (for now, lets called her KD) and we are meeting for the first time in over 6 years.

A flood of feelings enveloped me the moment we spoke over MSN and simply reminisced about old times. Some bad feelings while some good however, feelings none the less. I’m a little worried and, to be honest, scared about Thursday. I not even sure what there is to be scared about - at one point in life we were good close friends and trusted each other.

It’s funny, she reminded me how we met. I’m sure I locked this particular memory away into the dark-recesses on my brain for how embarrassed I was but I suppose it did have a happy ending on the night. It’s not Kansas City Hotsteppers but it’s damn close.

In other news, I finally got round to getting Snow Patrol’s Eyes Open after Bigshow’s recommendation. He has been ranting on and on about the song Set the Fire to the Third Bar which yes I agree, does send tingles down your spine. However, the song for me has to be Hands Open which is just so catchy and shiny.

Enjoy this cover by the YouTube Celebrity thesilverfish which I think sounds so much better than the actual acoustic version Snow Patrol has uploaded - the gap of silence @ 0:55 actually works:

Happy New Year everyone!

I have managed to survive yet another year to make it to that time when New Year’s Resolutions are made. I don’t even remember what last year’s resolutions were but this year I have decided to make simply one:

Take more photographs. I have hardly any photographs of friends and family at all - which is pitiful due to camera I’ve owned. I’m going to try and take one photo everyday this year, should make an interesting portfolio.

Cabel (famed for all those DS Lite Comedy Review Videos) has published a new video simply called Buggy Saints Row: The Musical. It turns out that Saints Row is loaded full of bugs so much so that as Cabel played, he would have at hand a digital camera to take a short video as each problem occurred.

Quote from the man:

For a long time now, I’ve wanted to share these bug videos with you, but I wasn’t convinced they were quite funny enough. They needed a hot comedy injection, a little something to tie it all together. And then it hit me: musical theatre. What better compliment to the rough and tumble world of Saints Row?
